When we experience the Light of God within us through meditation, we also see the same Light in all people and all life forms. We realize that each person is valuable, being made by God, and carrying God within them.<\/p>\n

Just as astronauts look down and see the beautiful gem of planet Earth floating in space and realize the unity of all life, so do we witness the Light of God in all. This makes us recognize all life as one human family.<\/p>\n

True spiritual development comes when we realize that we are all one. With that realization, we no longer feel superior to others. We stop feeling that we are special and that all others are inferior. We reach a state in which we recognize that all are important.<\/p>\n

With this elevated vision, we then develop love and respect for all life. We care about others and do not want to see anyone in pain. We become loving, selfless human beings committed to helping others. If each person awakened to the oneness of all life, there would be peace and happiness on the planet.<\/p>\n

Labor Day, celebrated in America on the first Monday in September, is a day to honor workers who contribute to society. The day is celebrated as a holiday with various festivities and as a day of rest. Giving most people a day off, it provides a good chance to rejuvenate ourselves.<\/p>

One of the best ways to relax and refresh ourselves is through meditation. Sitting in silence and focusing on the treasures within provides inner festivities which bring benefits to our body, mind, and soul.<\/p>

While there are outer parades on Labor Day, meditation provides us some time to enjoy the inner parades of Lights and Music within. These are not just visual and auditory experiences, but this contact with the inner Light and Sound brings peace, happiness, and bliss.<\/p>

The inner joy they provide is so fulfilling that we carry it with us throughout the rest of our day when we engage in daily activities. Meditation makes us so peaceful and calm that we spread that to others wherever we go.<\/p>

As we celebrate Labor Day without, we can also enjoy celebrating Labor Day within, by sitting in meditation for some time. Then, this holiday will refresh us inside and out.<\/p>
