A., ce sont les maladies cardiovasculaires qui tuent le plus grand nombre de personnes ; et il ne fait aucun doute qu\u2019elles trouvent leur origine dans notre alimentation. La g\u00e9n\u00e9tique joue, certes, un r\u00f4le ; mais la nourriture que nous consommons \u00e0 un impact consid\u00e9rable sur notre sant\u00e9. Les maladies chroniques auxquelles les am\u00e9ricains sont le plus expos\u00e9s sont : l\u2019hypertension art\u00e9rielle, le diab\u00e8te et l\u2019exc\u00e8s de cholest\u00e9rol \u2013 maladies qui ont toutes pour cause une mauvaise alimentation.<\/p>\n<p>Un taux de cholest\u00e9rol \u00e9lev\u00e9 peut provoquer des obstructions au niveau du c\u0153ur qui peuvent conduire \u00e0 des crises cardiaques ; des obstructions dans le cerveau qui peuvent provoquer des accidents vasculaires c\u00e9r\u00e9braux ; ainsi que des obstructions dans les jambes et dans les bras. En gros, c\u2019est toujours la m\u00eame chose, la cause est \u00e0 chercher dans les aliments que nous mangeons.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Que peuvent faire les gens au jour le jour ?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>La question qui touche \u00e0 notre sant\u00e9 peut \u00eatre r\u00e9sum\u00e9e ainsi : faisons-nous \u2013 en tant que soci\u00e9t\u00e9 \u2013 les bons choix ? La plupart de nos maladies chroniques sont des maladies li\u00e9es au mode de vie. La premi\u00e8re question qu\u2019il nous faut nous poser, \u00e0 nous-m\u00eames, est la suivante : quel genre de \u00ab carburant \u00bb mettons-nous dans notre corps. Si nous ing\u00e9rons des aliments de mauvaise qualit\u00e9, nous ne pourrons pas tirer grand-chose de notre corps. Il nous faut, pour ce qui est de notre alimentation, r\u00e9\u00e9valuer nos choix et prendre le parti de consommer des aliments frais et non des aliments transform\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>Le second aspect est li\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019activit\u00e9 physique. Nous vivons dans une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 s\u00e9dentaire. Nous sommes souvent assis ; il nous faut donc nous d\u00e9penser et \u00eatre physiquement actifs. S\u2019asseoir c\u2019est un peu comme fumer ! Il est plus simple de pr\u00e9venir les probl\u00e8mes d\u2019ordre physique du corps que d\u2019y rem\u00e9dier apr\u00e8s coup.
